Our Story

In 2003, the Piton Foundation founded the Early Excellence Program of Denver as part of the Wyatt-Edison Charter School to provide a school readiness program for families in the Denver-Cole community.

Two years later, Early Excellence became its own nonprofit entity, focused on providing high-quality educational programs to our community. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring each student enters kindergarten reading, communicating, writing, counting and learning at the level needed to achieve academic success. Together with the families we serve, our community, and generous business partners and donors, we look forward to a bright future here at EEP Denver.

Our Mission:

The Early Excellence Program of Denver promotes and offers high-quality educational services to young children and provides job development and social networks for Colorado’s most vulnerable families so that they may achieve self-sufficiency.

Our Vision:

By offering a variety of high-quality developmentally appropriate services, the Early Excellence Program will cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically prepare children with the much-needed skills to achieve academic success in kindergarten and beyond.
